
Lisa Burton joined the fire service in 2010 and volunteers as a Captain with Castine Fire Rescue Department in Castine, Maine. She is a Shipboard Fire Instructor for Maine Maritime Academy and a State Fire Instructor with Maine Fire Service Institute.
She also volunteers with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation as a Regional Advocate Coordinator for the “Everyone Goes Home” program.
Lisa earned a Master of Science degree in Emergency Management with a concentration in Management of Fire and Emergency Services from Eastern Kentucky University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Maine at Farmington. Lisa works for the University of Maine System as the Interim Director and Emergency Coordinator for the Department of Safety Management.
